Bayern Munich's management is contemplating legal action against the Canadian Football Association due to an injury sustained by defender Alphonso Davies. This information comes from Bild.
The 24-year-old player injured himself while playing for the Canadian national team. Davies started in the match for the third-place playoff in the CONCACAF Nations League against the United States (which ended 2-1), but had to leave the field only 12 minutes after the start of the game.
Upon returning to Bayern, Davies continued to experience knee discomfort. After an examination by Bayern’s medical team and an MRI he was diagnosed with a torn ACL and damage to the cartilage in his right knee.
This season, Davies has played in 31 matches across all competitions for Bayern, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
