Barcelona's management dismisses the option of appointing Julian Nagelsmann as the possible manager of the German national team because of two main reasons.
The former Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig coach has been in charge of the national team since 2023, succeeding Hans-Dieter Flick as manager of the German national team.
According to the Sport media outlet, the first reason is Nagelsmann's work at the head of the German national team, which makes it impossible for Nagelsmann to hold a full training camp at Barcelona. Also the management of the Blaugrana doubts that a young specialist (by coaching standards) will be able to handle the Barcelona locker room.
Ralf Rangnick is another contender for the coaching post of the Spanish powerhouse. It also became known that Nagelsmann was in discussion with midfielder Toni Kroos to return to the German national team before the home Euro-2024.
