Ten groups, associations, and organizations linked to La Liga club Barcelona have released a statement calling for the immediate resignation of the club's president, Joan Laporta, and the board of directors.
Leading the demand are presidential candidates Victor Font and Joan Camprubi. Should Laporta refuse to resign, the opposition may consider bringing a vote of no confidence against him. One of the main reasons for this decision appears to be La Liga's rejection of the registration request for two players, midfielder Dani Olmo and forward Pau Victor, for the second half of the 2024/2025 season.
After 19 matches played in the season, the Catalans, coached by Hans-Dieter Flick, have earned 38 points and currently occupy third place in the Spanish football league standings.
According to Relevo, on November 8 the head coach of the Blaugrana Flick requested that club president Laporta attend team meetings and training sessions wearing Barcelona's colors.
