La Liga has approved the registration of midfielder Dani Olmo and forward Pau Victor in the Barcelona squad for the second half of the 2024/25 season, according to RAC1.
Barcelona faced registration challenges due to financial fair play compliance issues.
Initially, La Liga and the Royal Spanish Football Federation rejected the registration applications, forcing the club to go through a lengthy approval process and consider the possibility of legal action.
The situation changed after the club's management provided additional financial guarantees. The club confirmed it received funds from investors in Dubai and Qatar, attracted through the sale of VIP seats at the Camp Nou stadium.
After verifying the submitted documentation, La Liga lifted all restrictions, allowing both players to participate in matches for the Catalan powerhouse.
Olmo joined the Blaugrana this season and has played 15 matches for the club, scoring six goals and providing one assist. Victor has also been with Barcelona since the current season, playing 17 matches for the team, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
Earlier, Sport.es reported that La Liga clubs planned to take legal action against Barcelona if Olmo's registration was approved.
