Brazilian forward Neymar, currently playing for Saudi club Al Hilal, may make a return to FC Barcelona in the summer of 2025, according to Sport.es.
Reports suggest that the 32-year-old attacker is second on Barcelona’s transfer wishlist. The primary target for the Catalan club is Erling Haaland from Manchester City; however, if they fail to secure the City striker, Neymar could become the top candidate for a transfer.
Additionally, Neymar's contract with Al Hilal is set to expire at the end of June 2025, allowing him the possibility to return to Barcelona as a free agent, where he played from 2013 to 2017. The Brazilian is also motivated to be part of the national team for the 2026 World Cup.
Currently, Neymar is recovering from a ligament injury he sustained in October 2023 and has not been listed for the 2024/2025 season of the country’s Pro League. Al Hilal's head coach Jorge Jesus has not provided a specific timeline for the attacker’s return to the field.
