Former Italy national football team player Mario Balotelli has revealed that he turned down an offer from a Chinese club that exceeded the amount of contracts in Saudi Arabia.
In an interview to Corriere dello Sport Balotelli said:
I rejected an offer much higher than in Saudi Arabia. I love to play football and I want to play the European Championships with my national team.
Balotelli plays for Swiss FC Sion. The player's contract with the team runs until the end of June 2024.
Balotelli has played 472 matches in his career, where scored 199 goals and made 43 assists. Transfermarkt website estimates the transfer value of the 33-year-old at €1.50 million.
