Atletico Madrid has now officially confirmed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher on a five-year deal for a fee of around €42 million.
The 24-year-old England international is already training with his new teammates despite a recent saga where he even flew to Madrid to finalize the deal, only for it to collapse as Samu Omorodion turned down the proposed swap deal.
Gallagher is set to make his debut for his new club, Atletico Madrid, at home in their second-round La Liga match against Girona on Sunday, August 25.
