Mikel Arteta, the head coach of London’s Arsenal, recently shared his views on who he believes is the greatest football player in the history of the sport.
Arteta said, as reported by Sky Sports:
It's always been Messi I can't deny. For me, my three sons it's exactly the same. It's something that we have been really lucky to have the opportunity for many years to experience in my opinion the best player of all time.
Currently, 37-year-old Lionel Messi plays for Inter Miami, with his contract set to expire in 2025.
This season, the Argentine has played in 15 matches, scoring 14 goals and providing 10 assists.
Messi has previously played for clubs like Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. He became a World Champion with the Argentina national team in 2022 and secured consecutive Copa America titles.
Arteta recently signed a three-year contract extension with Arsenal.
