Insider Fabrizio Romano has announced that Arsenal Football Club has prepared a new contract for the team's head coach Mikel Arteta.
The parties will discuss this new offer in the near future. The club's leadership is pleased with the coach's work, and both sides are interested in signing a new agreement. If negotiations are successful, Mikel Arteta will become one of the highest-paid coaches in Europe.
Mikel Arteta took over Arsenal in December 2019. During his tenure, the team won the FA Cup and claimed the Community Shield twice. At the end of the 2023/2024 season, Arsenal finished second in the English Premier League standings, trailing Manchester City by two points.
Arteta's current agreement with the club is set to run until the summer of 2025.
