The press service of Arsenal London reported a serious injury of defender Jurrien Timber, which he suffered on the first matchday of EPL against Nottingham Forest.
The footballer was diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament after an in-depth medical examination.

We can confirm that Jurrien Timber has sustained an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. Jurrien will undergo surgery in the coming days and will be out of action for a period of time.
The 22-year-old Netherlands defender moved to Arsenal from Ajax in the summer of 2023. The match against Nottingen Forrest was Timber's second official game with the Gunners. Jurrien won the Super Cup of England with the team.
