Former player of Benfica and the Portuguese national team Antonio Fonseca evaluated Cristiano Ronaldo's performance in the first match of the Euro 2024 Championship against the Czech Republic.

Cristiano is a very important player for the current Portuguese team. His presence on the field organically influences all the players around him, including opponents. Ronaldo's game impacts the team's strategies and, of course, the decisions made by players on the field. He absolutely deserved to start in the next match.
In the match against the Czech Republic, Ronaldo played the full 90 minutes without any productive actions. He took five shots on goal, hitting the target three times. The forward made 22 passes, all of which were accurate. Ronaldo was caught offside three times and won one out of four aerial duels.
In the second round of Group F, scheduled for June 22, Portugal will face Turkey. Four days later, the Portuguese team will play their final group stage match against Georgia.
