The 2008 Olympic champion of Argentina, former Napoli and Paris Saint-Germain striker Ezequiel Lavezzi has been admitted to a psychiatric hospital because of a nervous breakdown, as reported by Sport.es.
According to the source, the 38-year-old footballer lent his close friend a large sum of money, but he refused to return it. Moreover, the friend betrayed the Albiceleste forward, the details of which remain unknown. Lavezzi was not able to cope with it on his own.
On January 9, the publication Marca reported about the athlete's admission to a mental health facility for treatment. Earlier, the family of Lavezzi confirmed his problems with substance abuse.
