Ancelotti Urges Real Madrid Players to Stop Complaining About Referees

Real Madrid's head coach Carlo Ancelotti commented on the officiating in the Spanish league match against Alaves (3:2) during the seventh round of the season.

Ancelotti stated in an interview with Marca:

They gave us four or five yellow cards for protesting. The referees' way of judging has changed and we have to get used to it. Whether it's fair or not, we have to avoid protesting and adapt to the new rules. What did I tell the referee? I told him that I thought the six yellow cards for protesting were too much and that I have to do my job to prevent my players from doing this.

Real Madrid currently hold the second position in the Spanish league table with 17 points. Alaves, with 10 points, are in eighth place.

Leading the table is FC Barcelona with 18 points.

Earlier, Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham was suspended for two matches in the Spanish league due to comments directed at the referee following the game against Valencia.

In addition, the management of the Madrid club believes that La Liga referees are favoring Barcelona.
