Portuguese head coach Ruben Amorim has addressed the need for changes within Manchester United.
Amorim said to Sky Sports:
I think we have to improve in a lot of areas, the understanding of the game, it is a different way of playing and we are changing in the middle of the season. I think we have to improve the physical aspect of the team. I don’t know how long it will take, I know when you are in Man United you have to win games, so I will not tell you I need a lot of time. It is a great league, the strongest in the world and we have to improve a lot. We have to win games and then to win titles.
On November 1, the Red Devils officially announced the appointment of 39-year-old Amorim as head coach. The Portuguese manager signed a contract with the club until June 2027, with the option to extend for another season. He previously managed Lisbon's Sporting.
Currently, Manchester United sits in 13th place in the English Premier League, having earned 15 points after 11 matches.
The Manchester club's next match is scheduled for November 24 against Ipswich as part of the 12th round of the EPL. The game will start at 18:30 GMT+3.
Earlier, Amorim shared that former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho had relayed insights about the club to him.
According to The Sun, the Portuguese coach plans to make Mason Mount a key player for the Red Devils.
