The captain of the Spain national football team Alvaro Morata sustained an injury after the semifinal match of the 2024 European Football Championship in a collision with a steward.
According to Marca, the steward was trying to detain a fan who had run onto the field.
The semi-final match between Spain and France took place on July 9th, with Spain winning 2-1. The match between the Netherlands and England will determine Spain's opponent in the final game of the tournament on July 10th.
Earlier reports in the media stated that Spain became the first national team in the history of the European Championships to win six matches in one tournament.
