According to Mundo Deportivo, Bayer's head coach, Xabi Alonso, has no plans to leave his current club until Carlo Ancelotti departs from his position at Real Madrid.
Alonso has been leading Bayer since 2022. The team is currently at the top of the Bundesliga table with 70 points and has not lost a single match in all competitions this season.
It is reported that once Ancelotti steps down as Real Madrid's head coach, Alonso will immediately take over. Both coaches have contracts with their current teams until 2026.
Earlier, Bayer's general director denied Alonso's departure from the club in the summer of 2024. Rumors suggest that Real Madrid legend Raul could take over Bayer if Alonso leaves.
