UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin has made an official announcement that he will not run for another term in 2027.
Aleksander Ceferin
I have decided that I am not planning to run in 2027 anymore. The reason is that after some time every organization needs fresh blood, but mainly because I was away from my family for seven years now and I will be away from them for another three years.
Ceferin was elected as the seventh UEFA president on September 14, 2016 and automatically became FIFA's vice president. On February 7, 2019, Ceferin was re-elected.
Earlier, the head of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) Andriy Shevchenko discussed with UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin the exclusion of the Russian clubs.
