Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus of Saudi club Al Hilal addressed questions regarding the condition of 32-year-old injured Brazilian winger Neymar.
Jorge Jesus said to Goal:
I can't specify an exact date for his return. We will assess his condition again in January.
He emphasized that Neymar is a crucial player, not only for Al Hilal but for the entire Saudi league as well.
It was reported earlier that Neymar has not been registered to participate in matches in the Saudi league for the year 2024. It is likely that he will not return to the field until January 2025.
Neymar suffered his injury in October 2023 during a World Cup qualifying match against Uruguay, which ended in a 0-2 loss.
Neymar joined Al Hilal from PSG in August 2023, where he played only five matches, scored one goal, and provided three assists. During his time at the French club, he participated in 173 matches, scored 118 goals, and provided 77 assists.
Earlier, Neymar discussed playing together with Kylian Mbappe at PSG with Brazilian footballers from Real Madrid.
