Al Hilal defeated rivals Al Nassr 4-1 to win the Saudi Arabia Super Cup final at Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium in Abha. This was the second consecutive time that Al-Hilal won the tournament and the fifth overall.
Cristiano Ronaldo gave Al-Nassr the lead at halftime, but Al-Hilal showed champion quality by coming back with four goals in the second half. Sergej Milinkosavic-Savic leveled the score for Al-Hilal in the 55th minute, but a brace by Aleksandar Mitrovic quickly turned around the momentum of the game. Malcom added a fourth in the 72nd minute to give Al Hilal a comfortable 4-1 victory in the Super Cup.
Nassr returns to league action on August 22 against Al-Raed. Hilal will play Al Akhdoud on Saturday.
