Former England's Manchester City and Argentina forward Sergio Aguero has revealed why striker Lionel Messi chose US-based Inter Miami over any of the Saudi clubs to continue his career.
Sergio Aguero quoted by Goal
I think he chose Miami for convenience. Miami is a nice place, there are lots of Latinos, and I think he also saw it from the family side, which I think they can fit quite well in Miami, and in Arabia it can be more complicated, right?
The signing of Messi and Inter Miami was announced on July 16. The agreement with the 36-year-old Argentine is valid until December 31, 2025. It was reported that the footballer will earn about $60 million dollars a year in the new team. Messi played three matches for the new club, where he scored five goals and one assist.
