FIFA has received a petition from 12 Middle Eastern countries demanding that Israeli national teams and clubs be suspended from international tournaments, Sky News reports.
The demand is related to the military operation by the Israeli armed forces in the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian, Saudi Arabian, Qatari and UAE football federations are among the signatories of the appeal.
Recall, the conflict in the Middle East has been ongoing since October 7 last year after the Hamas fighters attacked Israeli settlements.
