
Max Verstappen, the 27-year-old Dutch driver and four-time Formula 1 champion from the Red Bull team, has shared what it would take for him to win the main race at the Chinese Grand Prix.

If they all retire in front of me! We're not fast enough. The lap was alright, but it was very difficult to get a consistent balance out of it every lap, every corner, basically. But we are working on it and trying to do better.
Verstappen admitted he feels comfortable behind the wheel, but sometimes the results do not meet his expectations for the car, which makes it difficult to navigate the turns.
The driver also noted that he likely feels better behind the wheel now compared to previous years. He stated that he approaches qualifying correctly, drives confidently, and generally performs well.
Earlier, Verstappen's father harshly responded to rumors about his son possibly joining the Mercedes team in 2026.
