Ferrari boss Frederic Vasseur responded to rumors about the possible transfer of Red Bull's technical department head Adrian Newey to the Italian team.
On May 1st, Red Bull announced that Newey would leave the team by the end of the current season, in the first quarter of 2025.
Motorsport quotes Vasseur as saying:
Adrian, he has a mega record. He's the most successful engineer in the paddock. I don't know about statistics, but I would say that it's like this probably. But I have no comment to make on this. I trust the people that we have in the company, that they are doing a good job.
It is worth noting that before Newey's departure, he will focus on developing a new hypercar for Red Bull, named RB17.
Red Bull's driver Max Verstappen commented on the departure of the chief technical officer Adrian Newey from the team and responded to McLaren's Zak Brown, who believes that the specialist will not be the last to leave the Austrians.
