Seven Drivers Win Multiple Races in F1 2024 First Time in History

The 2024 Formula 1 season has set a new record in the history of the races. For the first time ever, seven drivers have emerged victorious in two or more Grand Prix events during a single season.

This milestone was achieved following the victory of British driver George Russell from the Mercedes AMG F1 team at the Grand Prix in Las Vegas (USA) on November 24. The 26-year-old's win marked his second of the season, following his earlier triumph at the Austrian Grand Prix.

As a result, seven drivers have now crossed the finish line first in two or more races this Formula 1 season. The most successful among them is the four-time world champion, Dutch driver Max Verstappen from Red Bull Racing, who has secured 8 victories. Close behind are Charles Leclerc from Scuderia Ferrari and Lando Norris from McLaren, each with three wins. Russell, along with Englishman Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes AMG F1), Australian Oscar Piastri (McLaren), and Spaniard Carlos Sainz Jr. (Scuderia Ferrari), have each claimed two victories.
