The management of Red Bull decided to increase security for Dutch driver Max Verstappen, who recently became a three-time world champion.
The decision was reportedly due to the F1 winner being booed by fans of his Mexican teammate Sergio Perez at the previous round in the United States.
F1-Insider.com quotes Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko as saying:
Max doesn’t actually want that and is relaxed. But we have responsibility for him, so we just want to be on the safe side.
Earlier Max Verstappen stated that he is ready to leave Red Bull in case Marko is fired.
