According to The Race, the Austrian Formula 1 team, Oracle Red Bull Racing, will host a test drive for their new driver Yuki Tsunoda at the British Silverstone circuit, where he will drive the RB19 from 2023.
Sources indicate that the Red Bull management is pleased with the 24-year-old Japanese driver's quick adaptation to the RB21. However, they are expecting even greater progress from Tsunoda. On April 22, the driver will return to Red Bull's base to work on the simulator, and then on April 23, he will get behind the wheel of the RB19 to experiment with settings and explore various approaches to technical challenges alongside the team’s engineers.
The announcement of Tsunoda's transition to Red Bull from the Italian team Racing Bulls was made official on March 27. The Japanese driver replaced Liam Lawson, who moved in the opposite direction. The switch was prompted by Lawson's struggles at the start of the 2025 season.
On April 8, Tsunoda mentioned in an interview with Sky Sports that he is gaining more confidence with the Red Bull car and will continue to work hard, learning from his teammate, reigning world champion Max Verstappen from the Netherlands.
After four rounds of the new season, Tsunoda has accumulated five points and currently sits in 14th place in the overall standings.
