Mercedes CEO Toto Wolff has admitted he is interested in a transfer of three-time world champion, Dutchman Max Verstappen from Red Bull in 2025.
Sky Sports quotes Wolff as saying:
Toto Wolff
I'd love to have him (Verstappen). But first we need to sort out our car. I think we owe it to our drivers George (Russell) and Lewis to improve the car and give them equipment that is good before dreaming about the future next year.
Recall, Verstappen won three championship titles with the Red Bull, playing for the team since 2016.
Earlier, the head of Formula 1 team Red Bull Christian Horner commented on rumors about the possible transition of Verstappen to Mercedes.
February 1, it became known that the winner of 103 F1 races, Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton, will join Ferrari in 2025 to become a teammate of Charles Leclerc.
