Max Verstappen Hopes to "Get Sick" to Miss Formula 1 Launch Event

Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen mentioned during a streaming session that he hopes to get sick in the week of the Formula 1 season launch event, where all ten teams, along with their managers and drivers, will gather for the first time in history to kick off the new season.

The event will showcase specially designed visuals of the 2025 cars. The team presentations for the upcoming season are set to take place in London, England, at the O2 Arena. The event will start on February 18, 2025, at midnight GMT+3.

After 21 races in the 2024 Formula 1 season, Max Verstappen continues to lead the championship standings, holding a 62-point advantage over British driver Lando Norris.

In the Constructors' Championship, the McLaren team remains in the lead, 36 points ahead of second-place Ferrari. Red Bull Racing are in third place, trailing the leaders by 49 points.

Previously, Verstappen stated he might leave Formula 1 due to a scandal involving inappropriate language used during a press conference.

Additionally, the 27-year-old Red Bull driver was ranked 322nd on the list of the wealthiest people in the Netherlands, according to Quote magazine.
