Red Bull Racing Formula 1 driver Max Verstappen has stated that he is not currently thinking about a new contract. His existing agreement with the Austrian team runs until 2028.
At present, Verstappen leads the driver standings with 277 points, while Lando Norris of McLaren is in second place with 199 points. Charles Leclerc of Ferrari rounds out the top three with 177 points.
Verstappen told Sky Sport Germany:
In my mind at the moment, I'm not thinking about a new contract. I want to see how it goes and see the new regulations to see if it's fun or not.
Additionally, the three-time Formula 1 champion evaluated the level of competition in this season's racing events, specifically addressing the contest with the British team McLaren.
