Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, the British driver for the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One team, has said to RaceFans that moving to Scuderia Ferrari won’t resolve his current challenges.
It was announced on February 1, 2024, that the 39-year-old veteran of the sport will be joining the Italian team starting in the 2025 season, partnering with Charles Leclerc from Monaco.

With just two races left in the 2024 season, Hamilton currently sits in seventh place in the drivers' standings with 208 points. In a comment to Sky Sports on November 22, Hamilton revealed he contemplated ending his season early after a disappointing tenth-place finish at the São Paulo Grand Prix.
