
Ferrari Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc has expressed hope that the Italian team will gradually close the gap to competitors currently ahead of them.
We’ve got some new bits on the car coming which I hope will help us to close that gap a little bit. Whether it will be enough to close the complete gap, I don’t think so, but I hope it will help us at least to be closer.
According to the driver, Ferrari will take a step forward in Bahrain.
Currently, Charles Leclerc is in sixth place in the standings, having amassed 20 points. The Ferrari team holds a position in the Formula 1 Constructors' Championship, with a total of 35 points.
The next Grand Prix will take place at the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain, scheduled for April 13.
Previously, former Formula 1 driver Jacques Villeneuve stated that Lewis Hamilton nearly took Ferrari away from Charles Leclerc.
Additionally, the 27-year-old Monegasque shared his impressions of his first days working alongside the 40-year-old British driver in the Italian team.
