Liam Lawson has expressed his disappointment over the limited time he had in Red Bull's Formula 1 car before being demoted to the Racing Bulls team.
Liam Lawson for Sky Sports
Obviously I would have loved more time. I felt like I needed more time, especially going to places that I’d been before. It was a tough start. The car is hard to drive, but we were going through a process of making that adjustment. With the way that the weekends went: In Formula 1, in a pre-season test you’re driving all day and you have loads of time to adjust and things like that. I think honestly a lack of time in the car is really the biggest thing for me.
Recall that Lawson was replaced by Yuki Tsunoda starting this weekend at the Japanese Grand Prix after only two race weekends in the top team.
