Former Formula 1 driver and 1997 world champion Jacques Villeneuve believes that Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton can secure his eighth world title with Ferrari.
Villeneuve said to GPblog:
At Ferrari, he will have the potential to drive how Max Verstappen does now, and it might boost his mental focus throughout a season as it’s a fresh challenge. It would cement his place in history.
It was announced before the start of the current Formula 1 season that Hamilton would leave Mercedes at the end of the season to join Ferrari. At Ferrari, he will take the place of Carlos Sainz, who will move to Williams.
There are ten races remaining this season, with the next event scheduled in Verstappen's home country, the Netherlands. The first practice session will commence on August 23 at 1:30 GMT+3, while the main race will take place on August 25 at 4:00 GMT+3. In the last race at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium, Mercedes driver and seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton emerged victorious.
