Despite criticism from McLaren team principal Andreas Seidl and Grand Prix Drivers' Association (GDPA) chairman Alex Wurz regarding Lewis Hamilton's stance on wearing jewelry during the race, Hamilton is no budging. He has repeatedly said that he is not going to take of his jewelry during a race and people are "needlessly wasting their energy" over the issue.
Lewis Hamilton
Look, itcame in in 2005. I think we've all worn jewelry our whole careers in Formula 1. It definitely is positive that we're working with [the FIA] and I think they're accommodating a little bit at the moment. But we shouldn't have to keep on revisiting this thing every weekend. We've definitely got bigger fish to fry."
