Lewis Hamilton, the British driver for Ferrari, expressed his disappointment with his performance at the Australian Grand Prix, the opening race of the Formula 1 season, noting that he expected more.
Lewis Hamilton, quoted by Sky Sports
It's very tricky [driving with a new team]. It went a lot worse than I thought it would go. The car was really, really hard to drive today. So I mean I'm just grateful that I kept it out of the wall because that's where it wanted to go most of the time. A lot to take from it and just getting acclimatised with the new power unit in the wet conditions.
The race on Sunday concluded with a victory for British driver Lando Norris from McLaren. Hamilton, who made his debut with Ferrari at this Grand Prix, finished in 10th place.
The next round of the Formula 1 championship is scheduled to take place in Shanghai from March 21 to 23.
