Seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton has started learning Italian, according to the Italian publication Corriere Dello Sport.
As a reminder, Hamilton will leave the Mercedes team at the end of the 2024 season and join Ferrari. His new teammate will be Charles Leclerc from Monaco.
By acquiring at least a basic understanding of Italian, Hamilton hopes to establish a quicker connection with the team and improve communication with his future race engineer, Riccardo Adami.
This approach was previously adopted by German racing legend Michael Schumacher.
