Actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney together with Otro Capital and RedBird Capital Partners invested in the Formula One team Alpine. It is reported by the BBC, citing Renault company.
It is noted that the actors have become owners of 24% stake in Alpine. They paid €200 million for a share in the team. The total value of the team is about 888 million.
Since 2021, Reynolds and McElhenney own Welsh football club Wrexham, which will play in the fourth division of the English football championship next season.
In the current Formula One season, Alpine is fifth in the Constructors' Cup standings. The team has 44 points. The Alpin pilots are French athletes Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon.
