Formula 1 Extends Contract with Belgian Grand Prix Until 2031

The Formula 1 press service announced on its official website that it has extended its contract with the Belgian Grand Prix. The agreement with the Spa-Francorchamps circuit will run until 2031.

Reports indicate that the contract extension was made possible due to significant investments in the circuit in recent years, including the addition of two new grandstands. This will increase the circuit's capacity by 10,000 spectators.

It is noted that the Belgian Grand Prix at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit will continue starting in 2026.

For reference, the Belgian Grand Prix has been held since 1950. The winner of the last season was British Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton.
