Former team leader of the American team Haas, Guenther Steiner has filed a lawsuit against his former team due to unpaid funds for the period from 2021 to 2023.
In addition to the unpaid funds, the reason for the lawsuit was the use of his image in advertising materials and merchandise. Steiner claims this is happening without his permission after the relationship between the two parties ended.
The lawsuit notes that "Steiner's reputation, experience, and deep connections within the sport, Haas F1 cannot withhold from Mr. Steiner the benefits he has earned."
Guenther Steiner left Haas on January 10, 2024. The new team leader is Ayao Komatsu, who previously served as engineering director.
At the end of the previous Formula-1 season, Haas finished in the last tenth place in the Constructors' Championship with 12 points. Currently, the team is in seventh place with five points.
