
Eddie Jordan, 76, and founder of the Jordan Formula 1 team, passed away, as reported on March 20th. Journalist Andrew Benson shared this information on his social media.
Eddie Jordan's family statement
Eddie passed away peacefully with family by his side in Cape Town in the early hours of 20th March 2025 at the age of 76 after battling with an aggressive form of prostate cancer for the past 12 months.
At the end of 2024, Jordan had acknowledged that he was fighting cancer, revealing that he had been diagnosed with aggressive bladder and prostate cancer. In February, the former F1 team owner spoke about undergoing four rounds of chemotherapy, stating that doctors had expressed optimistic hopes following his treatment.
Eddie Jordan was previously the head of the Jordan team, where famous drivers such as Michael and Ralf Schumacher began their motorsport careers.
