The Ferrari team of Formula 1 announced the extension of the contract with Charles Leclerc. The official announcement was made on Thursday evening, January 25.
The term of the new agreement was not disclosed. According to insiders, the contract has been signed for several years with an option to extend up to and including 2028.
Leclerc made his Ferrari debut in 2019 after a season with Alfa Romeo-Sauber. He had five victories and has been on the podium 30 times in 103 races with the legendary Italian team. Charles' best achievement in the championship is second place at the end of the season-2022.
Last year Leclerc started from pole position five times, but did not win once and was fifth in the individual standings.
