F1 Racing Director Wittich Resigns Following Controversial Brazil Grand Prix Decision

Niels Wittich, the racing director of Formula 1, is stepping down from his position after a controversial decision concerning the wet race at the Brazil Grand Prix.

The 52-year-old Wittich has held the role since 2022. Reports indicate that Rui Marques will be taking over as the new racing director, starting with the event in Las Vegas.

The FIA can confirm that Niels Wittich has stepped down from his position as F1 Rrce director to pursue new opportunities. Niels has fulfilled his numerous responsibilities as race director with professionalism and dedication.

Previously, it was reported that the organizers of the U.S. Grand Prix in Formula 1 have been fined 500,000 euros. There are also reports that drivers from the prestigious racing series are preparing to collectively oppose the FIA's ban on swearing.
