Spanish driver of the Formula 1 team Ferrari, Carlos Sainz, will become a Mercedes driver starting from the next season of the races, as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport.
Lewis Hamilton, who is performing for Mercedes until the end of the current campaign, will join the Scuderia in 2025.
According to the source, the Spaniard has already negotiated a contract with Mercedes for one season with an option to extend for another year.
Earlier Lewis Hamilton admitted that he considers Sebastian Vettel an excellent option for Mercedes. Mercedes head Toto Wolff noted that 17-year-old Kimi Antonelli is the main contender for Hamilton's place.
