Lewis Hamilton came on top in Sochi during the Russian Grand Prix beating his arch-rival Max Verstappen by a wide margin of 50 seconds. Lando Norris got unlucky and finished on seventh after a fierce start from the pole position as in the later laps, the rainy weather rushed towards his side of the track and he and his team made a mistake opting for slick tires.
Even though Max finished second, it is also crucial to note that the racer began from the back of the grid and still managed to climb so high. Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz came in third place while Daniel Ricciardo finished in fourth place. Valterri Botas lodged the fifth position while Fernando Alonso ended up at sixth. Legend Kimi Raikkonen claimed the eighth spot whereas Sergio Perez clinched ninth and George Russell clinched tenth.
