Daniel Ricciardo will get an opportunity to ride former NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt’s 1984 Chevrolet mode. McLaren CEO Zak Brown committed himself to hand over the car to Daniel if he had a first-place podium finish with the team. Fittingly the Australian driver who is of Italian descent did so during the Italian Grand Prix.
Referring to the moment he learned the news of getting the car, Daniel expressed he had a “pinch me” feeling. The US Grand Prix will take place on October 24. Former NASCAR driver Dale got killed in an accident during Daytona 500 after he had won seven NASCAR championships and one Daytona 500 title.
