In the wake of a long-term injury to designated captain Dane Van Niekerk, Sune Luus has been appointed as the captain of the South Africa’s women’s cricket team. Meanwhile, Chloe Tryon will be the vice-captain as flamboyant batter Lizelle Lee has been also ruled out due to COVID-19. This change has been effected before the four-ODis series versus the West Indies in the lead-up to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
