Nepal’s cricket team has given the captainship to the leg spinner Sandip Lamichhane, who is the only representative from the nation in big-shot leagues like BBL and IPL. The 21-year-old replaces Gyanendra Malla while the previous captain Dipender Singh Airee was not considered for the role. It has been reported that Malla and Dipender are in the midst of a contract dispute with the Nepalese Cricket Association which is the trigger for the recent changes. Right now, Lamichanne is undertaking his bowling duties with the Hobart Hurricanes of the Big Bash League in Australia.
