Australian and Indian women will play in the first T20 during the Commonwealth games to mark the return of cricket in the CWG. This is the second time that cricket is making an appearance in the Commonwealth Games. England’s Birmingham will host the tournament. Teams have been divided into two groups as follows:
Group A | Group B |
Australia | England |
India | New Zealand |
Pakistan | South Africa |
Barbados | Cricket World Cup Qualifier |
Geoff Allardice, Acting Chief Executive, ICC
We have seen tremendous growth of the women's game over the past few years and the Commonwealth Games will undoubtedly be another major moment on that journey.
