The trio of Chen Meng, Wang Manyu, and Sun Yingsha came on top against Japan as China claimed a gold in women’s team table tennis. The trio of Mima Ito, Kasumi Ishikawa, and Miu Hirano were on the backfoot all game as China’s flurry was too much for them.
China won in three straight sets and gave no chance to Japan with the statline reading 3-1, 3-1, 3-0. Meanwhile Hong Kong beat Germany to secure a bronze medal.
