In the UEFA Women’s Champions League, Chelsea and Wolfsburg engaged in a tense draw to finish with three goals each. Samantha Kerr started the proceedings with a goal at the twelfth-minute-mark and Wolfsburg’s Tabea Wassmuth immediately had the answer after around five minutes.
Then Wolfsburg nailed another goal when Jill Roord scored one at the thirty-three-minute mark. Afterward, Chelsea’s chances slimmed further when Tabea once again struck just three minutes into the second half. However, Bethany England couldn’t be denied and netted one just three minutes after Tabea’s strike, making it a two-three affair. It seemed like Wolfsburg would ultimately escape with one but Pernille Harder’s goal two minutes into the stoppage time made sure that Chelsea escapes with a draw.
